A new feature is coming to WhatsApp

Ana sayfa / News

The popular messaging app WhatsApp continues its efforts to make its channels feature more dynamic. The quiz creation feature, recently revealed in the Android beta version, is now being tested for iOS users. With the latest update released via TestFlight, channel administrators can now organize interactive quizzes with their followers.

Channel administrators can now access the Quiz option via the update sharing menu. While this new format looks similar to polls, it has a significant difference in functionality. Administrators will be required to specify at least one correct answer when preparing the question and answer choices. This structure allows channels to create content that tests followers’ knowledge or organizes fun quizzes, rather than just collecting opinions. Support for adding visuals to questions is also offered.

Prioritizing user experience, WhatsApp has developed a visual feedback system for followers completing the quiz. When users choose the correct answer, they will be celebrated with a confetti animation on the screen. This small but effective detail aims to increase user interaction with the channel and encourage participation in the content. If an incorrect answer is given, the correct answer will be shown to the user.

The test results will be presented to channel administrators in a detailed report, but privacy will not be compromised. Administrators will not be able to see the phone numbers of participants not registered in their contacts. Only their profile pictures and answers will be listed anonymously. This feature, currently only available to beta users, is expected to be rolled out to all iPhone users after the testing process is complete.
